You only have to look at the GT-R to understand why it’s nicknamed Godzilla. It’s savagely fast, brutally efficient, and really the benchmark for sub £100K sportscars. In terms of figures it’s the fastest. 0 to 60 takes a scarcely credible 2.9 seconds.
If you want to go fast then the GT-R makes sense. It’s a noisy uncomfortable drive though, with none of the refinement that marks the Porsche 911 Turbo, the GTR’s only real rival. It just does fast and nothing else which is ok until you try to do the school run.
You have no real choice of spec with the GT-R. It’s just the wheels and colour really.
Get a nice simple colour for re-sale and check the gearbox history. On an early car, check to make sure it’s been replaced as there were problems with early versions.
A 3 year old GT-R should cost no more than £42,000 with less than 25,000 on the clock.
3 years old is the time to buy. Depreciation is fairly steady from then on.
